They call themselves the Antarctic Fire Angels and are preparing for the most gruelling challenge of their lives.

These six inspirational firefighters intend to be the first female emergency service team to ski coast to coast across Antartica. They will cover 1900 kilometres pulling supply sleds in temperatures as low as -50, with wind speeds over 60mph. It is estimated to take seventy days to complete.

They said they wanted to do something historic – to show what women are capable of and to empower the next generation of firefighters. When we heard this story, we knew they had to meet, photograph and film these brave women, creating content that will help raise the funds they require.
